My experiences of visiting Lisbon - and the challenge of getting there and back again.

First built by the Moors, and then renamed St George’s Castle by the conquering Christian rulers, it provide a wonderful view across Lisbon.

I spent my first day in Lisbon attending a tile making workshop, visiting the national azulejos museum, and photographing lots of buildings clad in beautiful patterned and coloured tiles.

I love a good palace - particularly one with a dodgy backstory.
